Action Johne’s Conference Objectives
The National Johne’s Management Plan was launched on the 1st April 2015. By January next year the industry will have been working to implement the plan for three years and 10 months.
The conference on 30th January will be a chance to take stock of progress, assess how the industry is performing against its international competitors, review the debate on the potential link between Johne’s and Crohn’s disease, swap ideas on best practice in winning farmer engagement and tacking the disease, and network with fellow industry professionals committed to managing and reducing the incidence of Johne’s.
The conference programme and keynote speakers will be finalised shortly. For now you are urged to save the date in your diary.
Who Should Attend
Purchasers committed to meeting the objectives of the National Johne’s Management Plan are expected to send relevant farm liaison staff to the event. Other stakeholders that would benefit from participating are veterinarians, dairy farmers, supply group representatives, farming union staff, milk procurement executives and industry public relations and customer liaison staff.
